You may come across the following error on your Campaigns 'Email authorization has expired for asdlfkj@gmail.com'.
This error usually occurs when you have changed your Gmail password or there have been org-level changes setup by your Google admin. Email connections can become disconnected for several reasons, including:
- Changes in account credentials (like password changes)
- Enabling or disabling multi-factor authentication (MFA)
- Expired or incorrect access tokens
- Changes made by your Google admin
When these authentication issues occur, you may also receive a 'Campaigns Stopped - Reconnect Gmail Account' notification, and affected campaigns may show an On Hold status. You'll need to re-authenticate your Gmail account from the Settings page so that it can allow Findem to send campaigns on your behalf. Follow the steps below to re-authenticate, either for yourself or another Findem user.
-
Go to Account Management at the bottom left of your screen, then Email. Click the three dots next to the email address you want to re-authenticate.
- Click Re-authenticate Email, then Sign in with Google.
- This will direct you to the Sign in with Google page.
2. Click Allow at the bottom.
3. After re-authorizing the account, you will be asked to log in to the Findem Platform.
4. Alternatively, you may get an email notifying you of the error.
If your campaign still shows as On Hold after completing the Gmail re-authentication:
- Open the affected campaign(s), ensure the re-authenticated sender email is selected, and re-save the campaign.
- If the status remains On Hold, contact Findem Support and include the affected project or campaign names and confirmation that you have already re-authenticated and re-saved.
5. As an additional troubleshooting step (for Gmail or Outlook), you can fully reconnect the email account from the Email page:
- Log in to Findem at https://findem.io.
- From the left-side menu, click Email.
- Locate the connected Gmail or Outlook account, click the three-dot icon (⋮) next to it, and select Disconnect.
- Click Add Email and follow the prompts to reconnect the Gmail or Outlook account.
- After reconnecting, try running the affected campaign again.
6. If reconnecting the email account doesn't resolve the issue:
- Log out of Findem and log back in, then repeat the disconnect/reconnect steps above.
- If the campaign still shows a problem or remains On Hold after these steps, contact Findem Support so the team can investigate and confirm when the issue is resolved.
