How Campaign Step Delays Are Calculated
This article explains how Findem calculates the send date for each step in a campaign when you configure delays between emails.
How campaign steps are processed
The campaign system processes steps in a campaign sequentially and focuses on the next step that should be delivered. As soon as a step goes out, the system then calculates when the following step should be delivered, which sets the next step's send date.
Because the system recalculates the next step's delivery date only after the previous step has been sent, the schedule can be auto-adjusted in a way that looks like messages are scheduled out of order. This sequential recalculation can create a confusing scheduling view even though the system is following its delivery logic.
Setting the delay between campaign steps
When setting custom campaign timing, you don't need to type a full phrase like "5 days after Outreach 1". Instead, just type the number directly (for example, "5") in the custom timing field. The system will automatically apply this number of days between campaign steps.
