What Does Findem Need to Set up the Integration?
Fully functional API Key to production (sandbox with data if required)
Findem requires a working API key to all environments. If you want to first test and validate in a sandbox, you'll need to provide two functional keys. Furthermore, we will ask you to notify Findem any time you make changes to credentials post implementation.
Troubleshooting API Credential Issues
If you encounter issues with your ATS integration API credentials, follow these steps:
- Confirm your API Key and API Secret are correct.
- Verify the email address used in the connection details is current and valid.
- Check that you have the necessary API permissions, particularly the Contacts API permission.
- If errors persist, contact both Findem Support and your ATS administrator to resolve any permission or authentication discrepancies.
Resolving ATS Integration Errors
If you're experiencing an ATS integration error in Findem:
- Verify the current status of your API key with your internal ATS team or system administrator.
- Request a new or updated API key if the existing one has expired.
- Ensure the new API key is correctly configured in your Findem account.
- If problems persist, contact Findem Support with specific details about the error message you're receiving.
Confirming Your ATS Integration
To confirm which Applicant Tracking System (ATS) is currently integrated with Findem:
- Check your current integration settings in your Findem account.
- If you notice an incorrect ATS is connected (for example, Lever instead of Greenhouse), you'll need to update your integration settings.
- Contact Findem Support to ensure the correct platform is connected to your account.
Reload or refresh the Integrations > ATS Status page in the Findem app to view the latest reported status for your ATS integration.
ATS Integration Monitoring and Alerts
Findem actively monitors ATS integrations and will send alerts if an integration issue is detected. Please note:
- Alerts are capped at a maximum of three notifications for the same issue.
- If a true integration failure occurs, alerts will resume as expected after any monitoring system adjustments.
Up to 10 hours of time committed with your ATS admin with an ETA for when integration will be complete.
Sign-off owner (ideally the ATS Admin) & a login for Findem to test with:
A member of your team (preferably your ATS admin user) will test/validate the functionality of the integration after Findem has tested. Findem should also have a way to test directly.
Note: Pipeline sign-off and Analytics sign-off are separate, and may require different personas.

What Does a Successful ATS Integration Look Like?
The image below gives your team a good idea of a successful implementation timeline for setting up your org's ATS in Findem.
What Happens Before the 30 Day Timer Begins?
Here is a breakdown of what to expect in the course of your ATS implementation.
Meeting 1 - Sales & customer meeting: This is where we'll deliver your ATS pack
Meeting 2 - Implementation kickoff: You'll provide us the API key and an environment for testing
Findem internal testing: The Findem team will test the API key and internal environment
Meeting 3 - Receive functional API key and environment: We'll work with your ATS admin to adjust the key and environment if needed
If the key/environment works, the 30 day timer begins. If not, the meetings repeat until all the missing pieces are discovered and the process works.
