Table of Contents
Overview
The Employee Connections tab automatically identifies candidates in your search who have shared work history or education history with current employees in your organization.
For example, if you have a colleague named John Smith who worked at Google with qualified candidate Jane Doe in 2019, Jane will appear in this list. You can reach out to John Smith with an auto-generated email for an 'introduction request' with Jane Doe. What sets these connections apart is that they are based on work experience over time. Findem sources these connections from externally available data based on time and place.
With CRM upload you can also upload 1st degree connections from LinkedIn, which we can map to and identify in Findem.
Note:
LinkedIn connections are not considered as part of Employee Connections in Findem. How Does It Work?
To view all connected candidates, from any Project, open the Employee Connections tab. Here you'll see each candidate, sorted by Job Match quality, and the connection they share with one of your colleagues. Note that your colleague does not need a Findem account to be considered here. Any employee who works at the company and shares a connection with a potential candidate is factored into this list. Any applicable employee at your company will be considered here.
Note:
The connected persons must have worked or attended school at the same time as one another in order for them to appear as connections.
Important:
Employee connections are typically visible when viewing a candidate within a project, but may not always appear during a general profile lookup. Connections are only shown for users who have exported and uploaded their connections to the platform. If you can't see connections when searching for a candidate, try viewing them within a project instead.
Request Intro
In addition to all the normal actions you can take on the candidates, with this tab, you have a Request Intro button, where you can create an email addressed to your colleague. Note that this button, as well as listed connections, are also available outside the Employee Connections tab. If a candidate has a connection with your colleague, it will be shown on their enriched profile in other channels.
This email is intended to get your colleague to refer the candidate formally and get them to apply for the role.
Note that you can choose from an existing campaign email template, or create a new one. This feature is only designed to support a one-email sequence, so this may be unique every time, or you can reuse an already created "Request Intro template."
Insert any applicable variables needed to the email and send.
Note that with Employee Connections, you can create an email campaign template with variables indicating the name and information of the connection to include in your message to the candidate. When creating your campaign template, simply input "@connection" and a dropdown list will appear with dozens of connection variables you can include.
All requests for introduction can be tracked in your Shortlist as Referrals requested.
Here is a sample email template you can use. Adjust for your own requirements as needed.
