Overview
Findem has integrated platform analytics directly to a search to analyze the talent pool through a competitor lens. This shows how many candidates in the pool work for your competitors and shows the breakdown of nice-to-have attributes. Reports are generated to show how many candidates meet each Search category, as well as any attribute within the search. These analytics include all candidates that match your search criteria. Explore the reports to gain deeper insight into attribute distribution and to evaluate your competitive position.
By clicking the icon on a candidate's profile, you can:
- Benchmark against competitive companies within a search
- See how many candidates in the pool have each nice-to-have attribute
- Add any attribute to the analysis to see the breakdown
Talent teams are always looking for creative ways to stay ahead of the competition and understand the competitive landscape. Whether that is going after competitive talent or evaluating competitor headcount strategy, our customers requested custom analytics against their competitors to gain an edge. It is important to benchmark against their peers to make sure they’re keeping up. Some very advanced customers would like to use Findem more and more as a pure BI tool. This opens the door to more competitive reports that will follow.
Use the Competitor Analysis tool to:
- Evaluate gender and ethnicity distributions
- See the volume of skill investments of competitive companies
- Evaluate candidates that have particular key nice-to-have attributes.
Setup
An admin user will first need to set up your company's competitors before you can use this tool. To get started:
- Head to Organization Settings > Company.
- Enter your competitor companies by URL of the main company website. Entries are saved automatically. When done, you can leave the page.
Usage
Every applicable Project will have an Analyze Competition menu to view competitor stats. Click the ellipsis at the top of the Project, then Analyze Competition.
Note:
While the main icon for the tool is housed in External Sourcing tab of any given Project, data shown in the tool is not limited to only External Sourcing candidates. All candidates in the found in the search are collectively part of this data. The primary use case with the Competitor Analysis tool is based out of curiosity. With these metrics, you can view what kinds of nice-to-have skills are or are not valued at your competitors. For example, maybe you thought PYTHON was a valuable nice-to-have skill when creating a Project for a Software Engineer. However, when looking at the Competitor Analysis results, you notice that only 20% of candidates have PYTHON as a skill at your competitors. This may tell you that the skill isn't as important or valuable as you may have thought.
