When an Admin user sets another user's account to Anonymous mode (AM), it means they restrict the user's access for the following candidate identifiers:
- Profile Picture
- Candidate Name
- External Links
This helps remove unconscious bias when searching for candidates.
At the moment, these candidate identifiers are the only ones that can be blocked from view.
Enabling Anonymous Mode for Users
To make users operate in Anonymous mode, the org admin can head to Organization Settings, then User Settings. For each user you'd like to enable AM for, click the ellipsis, then Edit. Check the box for Enable Anonymous Mode, then click Save.
Org admins can update the definition of Anonymous mode, as well as a default visibility on all candidate profiles (Configure Visibility section) for their users. From the Organizations Settings menu, click Manage Users, then click the Searches tab. Scroll down to Anonymous Mode to set which identifiers you would like to limit visibility for users operating in Anonymous mode.
If you wish to block out identifiers for all your users, you can toggle the Configure Visibility section from this same menu. The settings toggled here will decide the default view for all users, not just those in Anonymous mode. For example, you may decide to block all candidate profile pictures from visibility if you're worried images will create too much bias.
